Travel Information NUSOD2011

Visitors to China must have a valid passport and most foreign visitors need a visa. Please contact your local Chinese embassy and apply for an Chinese visa as soon as possible. An invitation letter is required to get a visa and it must be requested by sending an e-mail to the local conference organizers (please include: your paper number, full name, gender, date of birth (day/month/year), country you are traveling from, nationality, passport number, and date of entry to China).

Foreign visitors to Shanghai typically fly into Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG). From PVG it is best to take the high speed Maglev train to the city center (8 USD) and then a taxi to your hotel (inexpensive). Further information is given in the PDF file above.
