A Special Issue of Optical and Quantum Electronics (Springer) will provide the opportunity for selected authors to publish expanded versions of their NUSOD 2006 paper.  Guest editors of this Special Issue are

Siu-Fung Yu, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
Eric Larkins, University of Nottingham, United Kingdom

Based on an "above average" paper rating by the NUSOD program committee, the guest editors have invited selected authors to contribute an expanded paper to the Special Issue. All contributions will be subject to an additional review process and acceptance by the journal is not guaranteed. Submission deadline is September 1. 

Authors may also be asked to serve as reviewer for this special issue.
